Alginic Acid Sodium Salt
From Phaeophyceae (algae). A mixture of polyuronic acids composed of residues of D-mannuronic acid and L-glucuronic acids. Alginates are used as suspending and thickening agents and in the preparation of water miscible gels. Viscosity: 1%, 25 cps. Soluble in water. Store at room temperature.
