Chlorsulfuron
Affects the biosynthesis of branched chain amino acids by inhibiting the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS). Used as selective agent in the transformation of tobacco, maize and sugar beet. Transgenic poplars and fertile rice lants have also been obtained by using the crs 1-1 gene in combination with the CaMV 35S promoter. Soluble in water. Store at room temperature.
