Details

Corning® Elplasia® Microcavity Plates

The simple “plug and play” way for scaffold-free, self-assembly 3-D spheroid formation at large volumes of uniform size. Use Corning Elplasia plates to generate, culture, and analyze your spheroids all in a scaffold-free, standard plate footprint. Available in multiple formats (6-, 24-, 96-, and 384-well), two well geometry types, and two surface coatings.

•Spheroids can be cultured for 21 or more days
•No rinsing required prior to seeding
•Allows for 79 – 15,000+ spheroids per well, depending on plate format, under one culture condition
•High density format generates increased data points, enabling image analysis of multiple spheroids vs. one spheroid per well
•Increased signals per well without increasing spheroid size
•Black opaque sidewalls to reduce well-to-well “cross-talk”; suitable for fluorescent/luminescent assays
•Gamma irradiated; One-year shelf life
•Compatible with many cell types and may be used across many applications including:

- Drug screening / High throughput screening
- Cancer/Tumor biology
- Stem cell biology
- Cell therapy research
- 3D Tissue engineering

Round Bottom Plates
•Round bottom plates have a covalent attachment of Ultra-Low Attachment surface to reduce cellular adhesion to well surface
•Optimal for bulk spheroid formation, assay, expansion, and collection.

Square Well Plates
•The square well plates feature a surface with optical qualities suited for image analysis; ideal solution for clonal selection and high magnification imaging of very small clusters.
•Square bottom plates are plasma-treated for self-coating
